Here we go again!

We've got a few little guys on the vine. Still not sure which one's will take off and grow big.

We also have a little watermelon to track this year. It will be interesting to see how quickly a watermelon grows. Here is one that my daughter named Walter.

Spring!: That Wonderful Time of the Year!

It's that wonderful time of year! Soon, the seeds will be in the ground. Some of Mr. Pumpkin's seeds will take their turn at trying to grow big and strong.
This would be a great time for you to try to plant some pumpkin seeds too!

The "Procedure"

Well, we did it. We carved Mr. Pumpkin.
Here he is with a little friend.

Here is Little Seedling digging out his "innings",
as she likes to call it.

This is how thick Mr. Pumpkin's skin is.

Here is one of Mr. Pumpkin's seeds compared to an average pumpkin seed. Mr. Pumpkin is obviously NOT average!

Mr. Pumpkin visiting his favorite class!

Mrs. Seedling with Mr. Pumpkin and friends.

This man won a record for having the largest pumpkin this season.
He's Mr. Connolly from Boston and his pumpkin weighs 1,878 pounds!
That is some pumpkin!

We've cut Mr. Pumpkin off his vine!

Hello to all of Mr. Pumpkin's friends. We have cut him from his vine tonight. I don't know if I should be happy or sad. It's been so much fun watching him grow. The fun has not ended though. This is the best time of year for a pumpkin.

Mr. Pumpkin has been loaded in my car. Can you guess where he might be going?

Mr. Pumpkin is tired.

Here is our big guy. He measured in at 68" today. Up only 1" from last weekend!
As you can see, he's not exactly small.
We were wishing that he'd get much bigger.

Pumpkin's at dusk...

Here's Mr. Pumpkin in the evening.

Here's Sprout. See how pink he is?

These are a few sunflowers that are growing near the pumpkins.
